Over the years we have had TONS of requests from the DIY crowd to supply them with partial builds. Building the physical trailer and cab is a very equipment-intensive process, and comes with legal requirements that make it difficult for the average DIY-er. However, tons of people out there have the general tools and knowledge to build out an awesome overland trailer themselves once the structure is in place. That's why we're finally launching the XTD BIY Kit program!
With an XTD kit you'll receive a complete XTD overland trailer, fully skinned, powder coated and sealed, ready for you to add the interior. When you open up the rear hatch, you'll be greeted with all of the materials and parts you've selected on your order form. Unload the trailer, bust out the saws and nail guns and get to work!
Depending on how advanced you want to go, almost everything can be accomplished with a few common tools: Power drills, small brad nail gun, jig saw, skill saw, and miter saw. Tape measures come in handy too.
Sometimes we get so bogged down building trailers that we don't get any time to experiment with new ideas. BIY builders that build and share new features may selected to have their ideas incorporated into future packages!
We will be launching a series on our Youtube channel dedicated to giving builders tips and tricks on performing different parts of the build process. Keep in mind these will not be "how to build an XTD Adventure Package", but rather "how to wire an inverter", "How to install a door", etc.
There are 2 forms to download: The "Kit order form" and the "a-la-carte add-on sheet".
You can add parts to your kit one of two ways:
Send us both your kit order form and your a-la-carte selections sheet, we will send back a finalized quote.
You will receive an invoice for your order where you can pay your deposit electronically. Deposits for kits are 25% of the order total, the balance is due when your kit ships or is picked up.
The first kits will be shipping in September 2022, until then you can follow along on our channel as we build our own "experimental" XTD!
Either you'll pick up your kit at our Idaho Falls facility, or we can ship it to you. Remember these will be road-legal and papered, so pull it home if you like!
