As promised, we've taken the proven design of the XTD and scaled it down to a 4x8 model for a lighter, more compact package that will fit in most garages, even with the optional cargo rack. With a projected empty weight of 1100 lbs, the Mini is tow-able by many small SUV's and crossovers.
The main cabin measures 54" wide and 76" long along the floor, allowing it to fit a full size mattress. A storage / utility space (depending on configuration) extends out into the main cabin above where the occupants' legs would be (assuming you're sleeping with your head at the front). The main cabin has just under 4' of head room at its highest point
We've designed the Mini to be able to be outfitted in the same way as the XTD in almost every way. Add a full rear galley with running hot/cold water and stove if you wish. You can add a Dometic fridge, although it will need to be mounted in a custom enclosure in the tongue due to the limited depth of the rear cargo area.
The Mini does not compromise on off road capability. With 20" of ground clearance and the same Timbren independent suspension as the XTD, the Mini will confidently tackle the toughest terrain. In fact, many will find the Mini more manageable off-road due to it's smaller size.
With the reduced height, we traded out the XTD's rear lift style hatch for a dual rear door system, split in the center. Add a 270 awning and you'll have full coverage from the elements even at the rear of the trailer.
